If you don’t play that solo you may not know which part he’s talking about. But it’s a lick I’ve never seen anyone do on a record. Pretty cool.

One of the most underrated guitar legends. This solo is incredible, especially that lick he mentioned. I never would have guessed it was a P90 SG.

Mike and Tom were together so long that they sounded like each other!

I remember back in the late 60s those guitars were so inexpensive and sounded great

Yeah, it took me a minute to figure out what he was doing on that lick. Totally sounds like 2 guitars. Legendary solo.

You ever notice that all those "Gibson is overpriced" comments are suspiciously missing on a video like this, where an actual legend is telling you how he used it and why he loves it.

I love that lick he's talking about - cool story about Jeff Lynne

I have one, and it's an awesome guitar. Picked it up for cheap 40 years ago.

“It’s hard to impress Jeff”.
But also, that apparently impressed Jeff.

I'll never forget when Damn The Torpedo's came out, I played that album to death. A great American band!

I modified one of my guitars with a pull switch to cut out the tone control since the amp has a tone stack, with the tone bypassed the sound is cleaner.

Gibson should dump the modern lite and bring back the SG Junior.

Run strings across the top of the anchor. It gives a better tone, and a softer, more monuverable string.
It makes for a stupid good solo, in the hands of the Heartbreaker.
