Hideki Hamazaki was the animator who made the Ryuuen and Ayanokoji scene. He has worked on JJK and Black Clover. We really need more animators like him for Year 2's anime.

Everyone: Ayanokoji, show us you're true potential
Ayanokoji: Nah, I'm good!

If Ayanokoji smiles when the series finishes. I’m all for it

You know I didn’t expect him to call her a literal text book, but I do like that he actually wants love, he truly wants to try and learn, to smile with someone he loves. When we get season 4 (not if, I doubt we don’t) I really hope to see some interesting growth with him learning and romance.

Ayanokoji is a unique and interesting MC. I can't wait to see Year 2

I agree this is one of the best episode finale of this series, Im glad all of those important setup for year 2 is animated even with all those cut content, just hope they'll add some flashback maybe when Nagumo and Ayanokoji actually interacted because its gonna be weird for year 2 if they dont even interacted at all xD

I completely enjoyed all three seasons of COTE, despite source material readers saying it wasn’t a good adaptation. Here’s to hoping we get a season 4 with year 2

Despite all the criticism about the anime making Ayanokoji too edgy you, an anime only, completely understand his character at this point. In fact, a lot of LN readers don't understand him as well as you do. I'd say the anime did a great job with his characterization.

I didn’t think we’d get a season of Classroom of the Elite that would match season one. At least not until maybe the final season if we got a full adaptation. Instead season 3 decided to cook like it was Gordon Ramsey himself. The steaks kept on rising and with every episode I was wondering how Ayanokoji was going to overcome each obstacle, who was he going to use, who was gonna get shown their place. I didn’t expect part of his plans was to become a rizz lord but here we are. It took years to get more seasons and unfortunately it may take just as long to get a season 4 if that even happens. If not this is an okay-ish place to stop for anime only’s I think. I’m saying that as an anime only btw. Overall fantastic season and here’s hoping we get a season 4 announcement at least some time this century 😂.

Ayanokouji is preparing well for the next term after he made some moves with Ichinose, Ryuen, Horikita and Karuizawa (probably Matsushita too). He moved his tools just like a puppeteer moving his puppets, by move some strings behind the scenes

What great episode, Omg they really outdid themselves
Btw when horikita asked for a challenge in the novel
He told her to choose whichever exam she wants to compete on.
And he told her that she could tell him only on the day of the exam. So no time for preparation.

Also the part when he said he would be the one to put Ichinose down was cold 😅

Dude is a sociopath who wants to learn the feels.
If you think about it, he's not a villain at all, even with this cold blooded approach and manipulation scheme

Not gonna lie, the first half of the season I said our loud multiple times while watching ‘I don’t caaare’ as there were so many boring plot lines going on that I just switched off from. But the second half of the season brought it back with more insights into the mc. Looking forward to see what second year is like!!

This was a calm season finale compared to the other 2. I hope ayanokoji will legit smile later but him with karuizawa was good to see

Man, couldn't agree more. After the multiple times we have been in Ayanokojis head and heard what he has to say, this was a moment I was truly hoping for.
Some people will say "oh, but what if people knew what he did before to manipulate them" are not taking into account how he was raised and how he is changing.

Kinda of like judging you as an adult for all the dumb, selfish things you may have done before you knew better. In this case, he was brought up with no emotion but seems to be morphing OUT of being a total sociopath. I thought this season has some messy parts but this finale really topped the cake and makes me want to read ahead. (I am anime only most of the time) We've gotten a lot of shows where the MC always snaps back to his natural instincts but technically, Ayanokojis emotionless is more of a burned in by childhood thought rather than what may be his true personality starting to creep out.

One thing I did find odd was that KikKikyou seems to have been tossed on the backburner for now.

The dude is trying to be normal, to actually feel something, but he can't, which is sad and with every episode he's getting emptier imo, his methods are getting harsher by the episode and he's slowly going all out
The dude is legitimately scary lol

If we do get year 2 as an anime, then season 1 will have to be more then 1 cour for multiple reasons.

1. Each volume is around 500 pages each. Even the shortest year 2 volume is longer then the biggest year one volume.
2. There is a 2 volume long special exam in volumes 3 and 4. And volume 2 is just set up for that special exam.
3. They would end the season with volume 4.5, which unlike the previous .5 volumes, is not shorter in any way.
4. They would have to cover volumes 1 to 4.5, and with each volume being around 500 pages, that means 2500 pages for 1 season
