I remember trying south africa like 4 years ago and it took me 12 hours and until 1958 to take all of africa. Mainly bc manchukuo took Ethiopia and i didnt try building a navy so i had to go through the mid east and india.

The only nation that's just as unnoticeable is British Malaya (unless you want resorces, then that's the first place you're looking)

This is funny to me, because when I was JUST starting out with HOI4, I played South Africa and Brazil almost exclusively so I could learn the base mechanics/learning the buttons of the game without worrying about much consequence. Why those two? Brazil can become a powerhouse in the region once you take care of it's internal problems and build up the civilian economy/infrastructure. It got even more fun to play when ToA came out which yes, is highly controversial. South Africa not so much, but I played it because it had more achievements tied to it which to a beginner are VERY hard in retrospect. I think doing that though made me better instead of playing a big country like USA or USSR because of the micromanagement and set up is different from something easy like South Africa or Brazil.
