The Inside of the can is all shiny and new, not falling for it. The only believable aspects were water, metal detector and tin can.

It would have been more believable if they where the old bills we used to have. I liked the older bills we used to have. The $100/$50/$20/$10/&/$5’s. The only one they didn’t change was the one dollar bill.

I don't know if the water hole is near somewhere that flooded, but this is possible to find new bills underwater.
People that were flooded out of their homes, list everything, including stash jars.
