It took me 8 years to have my prayers answered, 8 years of tears, and asked for blessings throughout those 8 years, until one day I heard a voice its almost over be patient it's almost over. I didn't know when or how this prayer would take place. However, I felt in my heart it would be soon. Then, in 2011, my prayer was answered. So yes, I didn't give up, I continued attending the Temple, my calling, and did everything that I was supposed to do while waiting on the Lord. It was a painful trial, yet I learned so much and I am grateful. I believed in the church as soon as I entered the building, the spirit was so strong who testified to me as I stood there no one around. And have been active ever since, is this considered a miracle I don't know except for the spirit who testified to me no one else.

The story of the Canaanite woman resonates with me as I think of our Black pioneers who persevered through prejudice and racism when all of the blessings weren’t available to them for a time. I take comfort in knowing that the “last shall be first, and the first shall be last.” Thanks, Brother Halverson!

two years ago I became paralyzed from the chest down. I received a priesthood blessing I would be healed. I get it…first my heart was healed and two years later..little by little my legs are starting to move. I see the miracle happening in phases! Thank you for your insight into this

Regarding Canaanite woman, i think the lesson is beautiful. It was a test of humility and perseverence. She passed the test and was blessed. I am of the Slavic background and when I joined The Church in the nineteen sixties, I wondered about the lack of Slavic people in the Church as well as the black people. And look it these people now!!!

I had a counselor tell me in rehab…”the only thing that will fill that HOLE IN YOUR HEART is SPIRITUALITY!” That concept changed and healed me!!!

You said everything that was in my heart. I am now holding fast to Matthew 15:28. It's been almost more than I could bear for 10 years now. I pray it's close because I'm so tired.

One of my favorite quotes is from President Benson, "The Lord works from the inside out. The world works from the outside in. The world would take people out of the slums. Christ would take the slums out of people, and then they would take themselves out of the slums.

The world would mold men by changing their environment. Christ changes men, who then change their environment. The world would shape human behavior, but Christ can change human nature."

The reading of Matthew 16: 28 at 2:37:55 reminds me of Sister Wendy Nelson’s quote from the True Millennial 2016 devotional where she said:

“So, now a question as I conclude: What if you learned that the Savior had already returned to this earth—that He, as part of His Second Coming, had already met with some of His true followers in several marvelous, large gatherings—gatherings about which the world, including CNN and the blogosphere, knew nothing. If you found out that the Savior was already on the earth, what would you desperately want to do today, and what would you be willing and ready to do tomorrow?”

Thank u for putting a kind of Mosiah 5.2 motif on the Mt of xfgrtn …. I’m not feeling well today as I’m a little over 20 yrs older than u r; yet, I enjoy ur gift so much!

There is no greater call than a teacher. There r offices of prophet, Apostle. Seventy yet that doesn’t preclude there is much talent 4 teaching amidst any of that as there is no office in the Prsthd higher than the Prsthd itself

The spirit has taught me things about u & that u r carrying on a very vital role to prepare us for the Saviors’s coming! 0:52

The story of the canaanite woman could almost be a counterpart to the disciples when Christ walks on the water. It's not until the 4th time she asks before He responds, and He watches His disciples struggling in the storm and it isn't until the 4th watch that walks to them and calms the storm.
