This is the 4th year running my "single person operation Roofing/Restoration business" and still having difficulty getting to the $1M in sales since I am running everything in the business. Looking to go more "all in" and hire some sales/production staff

I wish I had started this around the same age you did. Give it all I have while couch surfing and getting by with very little until I make it.
At 48, and the sole provider with a wife to support, I had to start looking into a part time delivery driving position that can at least cover my rent for the month.
I’m 1 month in, and still can’t even get past getting the HO to accept a complementary free inspection!!
It’s a year old company in Florida with no training, that does things differently than what you talk about in your videos.

1- We are suppose to knock and approach homes with 3tab roofs only ( unless an architectural, metal…. Roof is missing huge chunks or looks destroyed)

2- Storm focused, Now mostly older storm ( slim pickings)

3- The contingency has to be signed BEFORE the in-house licensed inspector gets dispatched by Job Nimbus to the location for the complementary inspection.

Your Videos have been a Godsend. I have been applying your Slap formula whenever I can. 90% of homes with 3 tab I knock at are either:

- Empty,
- No one there
- Don’t want to come out
- Renter
- Family member, not HO

The other 10% are the HO that open their doors few inches, or never give a chance to utter a word before slamming the door.

When I hear about others that within their first month already closed so many deals, you start to question yourself…
Again your videos have helped me tremendously, in staying focused and positive.

I know you mentioned in few of your videos the best time to save for knocking ( i canvass “3 tab roofs” Monday, Tuesday and hit the doors on Wednesday then canvass Thursday and Friday and hit the doors Saturday and Sunday) I was thinking with a part time job as a delivery driver, I could use that as canvassing since I’ll be driving around dropping packages and write the addresses of the homes that match the criteria. Any feedback from you will be highly appreciated. I truly want to make this a real success. Thank you for all you do🙏🏻

Last year was my first year as a door to door salesman. I did it not even part time. I probably knocked a total of 30-40 days throughout the whole year and only 2-6 hours every time I went out, and I made $107k profit on 50 roofs.

Hey Adam! Love your videos and have learned a ton from you. Question, hopefully it’s not too personal. You said your from Madison Wi and family was/is from Gurney. Is the Gurney Illinois or Wisconsin? My boss is from Gurney Wi and I live right next to it. Thanks for all you put out.

In California, to do sales. You need to apply with contractors state license board. No Felons allowed. There is a process. You need to know roofing. The guy doing this video is a you tuber and can sell. I work in an area, we are in such demand. I charge for an estimate. This cost is subtracted from the job cost. It is paid when I walk in the door of the home.
