Holy frick that soundtrack on they always run is increadible. How haven't i heard of it before today

Othercide's pretty cool. My main issue with it was just how the meta-progression works. You unlock the ability to skip stages, but playing it "optimally" after death seems to incentivize you beat the levels you've already beat instead of skipping. Since you're gonna be more juiced up at this point, doing this is kind of a drag as there's no risk. I'd prefer you be able to "sell" your opportunity to run these stages again in exchange for currency or raw power.

But overall I think it's a cool turned-based tactics game. Big fan of the aesthetics, unit customization is decent. Boss fights do the Metal Gear: Revengeance thing where the music gets more intense the lower the boss HP and I always like that.

Jet Lancer looks extremely playable. Fingers-x Wind Runners takes the quality and pumps it up even higher.

Banner Of The Maid simply looks incredible: Better even than a French Soufflé served with fans in mind!

2 exceptional games in this haul. Awesome.

Banner of the maid is really cool. Don't think the setting is only used a for aesthetics either, it really is an interesting part of the game, And the gameplay is really well done, totally worth a chance!

Banner of the maid is one of the best tactical games of recent years. From its QoL to its mechanics, it is recommended for anyone who has never played this type of game before and thus delve into the genre.

As an alternative to Moonlighter I would also recommend Recettear which is 80% off, it's an older game and the dungeon aspect is not that good but the shopkeeper aspect is far far better.

I really need to play "They Always Run". It's been sitting in my GOG library since last fall.

Grabbing a bunch of indie stuff in the Spring Sale, but the one that feels like a standout is "Hourglass". I played the demo recently, and it's a 1st person puzzler in Egyptian tombs, where the gimmick is, you can can create clones of yourself that duplicate your actions {press switches, carry objects), and then rewind time, so that while the clone does one thing (activate a bridge), the "real you" runs across it to progress. Really liked teh demo, and the full game is 70% off now.

Most Cat games don’t get the main characters looking right, or they try too hard to make the cat a badass. Cat tails is both cute, and interesting, so they pretty much nailed everything! Oh I will be picking that up without a doubt!!

I recommend Haven park, it's so charming and cozy I love it, it really is the first game that comes to mind when thinking of similar games to A short hike

I actually ended up cleaning out a decent chunk of my wishlist with this sale… well, yeah there are still well over a thousand titles on it, but… HEY, DON’T YOU LOOK AT ME THAT WAY, YOU’RE GONNA GET IT! As I was saying, don’t blame me for having that much crap on my list! Blame all the developers who put up pages 5 years too early on their upcoming games! If they’re not gonna take responsibility for flooding the industry with all these ghost games, then I’m not taking any responsibility for wishlisting them! Deal? Deal!

Lol I bought They Always Run a few years ago, but had to get it refunded. Apparently one of the levels in my version had a missing platform during one of those levels that forces the player to move to the right constantly, I reported it and got my money back. Too bad, because it looked like a really fun game.
