Spot on review, Thx. Well, I just picked up a Pixel 8a for $399 on Mint Mobile and got 6 months out of 12 months free of unlimited data plan for $180 ($360 normally). So, $580 all in for 1 year including phone and service. That saves me a FORTUNE over my T Mobile Magenta plan. I prefer the design of the 8 series over the new Pixel 9 which looks like an iphone and Samsung. Pixel 9 is a nice phone, but the 8a feels better in my hand. HOWEVER, Mint Mobile is offering $400 off of Pixel 9 and same 1/2 off service plan making it same price as my 8a. Not my preference, but if you are in the market for the Pixel 9 and want to switch to Mint, now is the time because deal is temporary apparently. Love my 8a and Mint Mobile service is NO DIFFERENT in my area than T Mobile and I use my phone all day for calls, GPS, internet, video call meetings etc. as a Hospice worker. I was a little skeptical at first, but am so pleased with service and this Pixel 8a and I can afford to buy any phone I want but why piss money away.

7 years promised updates, but my hunch is it'll struggle to run those new iterations of the Os. Either way, if it lasts 4-5 years it's a solid deal. Got one for about $350 on sale now., was $650 new and $800 for pixel 8, $959 for pixel 9.

personally I think I'm done with pixels. Tiny screen and weak battery feels like an l for $500 also no reverse wireless charging but I'm def not with these tiny phones
