totally agree with qt ; if you find one you like, you keep going back and searching through his catalog hoping to find that same feeling.

One of my favourite film characters was the vegetarian protagonist from The Green Ray

my dream would be to spend a week with Quentin watching movies of his choice while he explains all of the behind the scenes

Nice little green flash there at the end. I wonder if that was in camera or done in post production?

A lot of melancholy in Romher’s movies, it’s also about tragedies of lives so not so funny I would say, The Green Ray is portraying a young woman who can’t find her place easily among other people, I remember me and my sister laughing a lot at situations we could easily relate in life, it was bittersweet, I love Romher!

I would describe Rohmer as a much less eccentric and self depreciating Woody Allen.

You can't tell me that one of the questions wasn't always, "Does this chick on the cover take her top off?"
Whenever you saw a French movie on late night cable you always figured, well at least there's a good chance of seeing some T&A! I'm pretty sure I never would have sat through 'The Decline of the American Empire' when I was a kid without the possibility of seeing some SKIN. ;)

No matter how you spin it, the video clip clearly shows a woman scared holding her little dog while robbers are in her house stealing everything they can….and her two babies are still inside. Then she looks all dolled up talking about it on the news interview. Her priorities were clear. Get her and the dog away from danger, but plead with the robbers to not hurt the babies she was leaving in the house

He did good. But his descriptions of a director immensily superior to any American director, is rather poor and limited.
