How can you tell that You are Watching 4K HDR 10 on YouTube TV App

This is a small tutorial, just giving you some tips to help you out if you didn't know on how you can tell if your YouTube App on TV is encoding HDR Videos .

Can you throw some light on viewport value which is 1920x1080*2. What is that? My mobile and laptop shows this value as 1920x1080 and 1080x720 respectively and this is the resolution written on their brochure. Why TV 4K TV always show 1920X1080*2.

HDR isn’t working on my Youtube app on my Xbox One X, it was until recently, but now it doesn’t..any ideas? On Netflix app etc, works fine.

Can you explain me why Viewport : 1920x1080*2 ? Which means your tv still render Full HD even the content is 4k?

I just uploaded the YouTube TV app and my understanding is they don't offer 4K resolution only 1080. When I followed your steps my Roku is set to 4K HDR but the actual YouTube TV app only shows 1080 as the max offering.

will this work on other Samsung streaming apps, like MAX or Hulu? I thought the info button would help but nothing happens when I clicked on it. And with the new remotes, just finding where info is was a challenge. I have an old remote with an info button but nothing happened with that either.

I guess you can open a 4K video from youtube then pause the video and select the quality. If you see 2160P that is 4K, then 1440P then 1080P(most tv have this)
