The Labour leader, Sir Keir Starmer, has been thrown out of a pub in Bath, in England, after he was confronted by the landlord over lockdown restrictions.

Rod Humphris, who co-runs the pub, said he was unhappy with Labour's response to government lockdown measures.

He said the economy had been sacrificed "because old people are dying".
Sir Keir, who was out campaigning ahead of May's elections, said he "profoundly disagrees".

Show the video the right way round, where they have the debate and then Starmer decides to walk past the landlord and into his pub

Why did the BBC reverse the clip? The conversation outside happened first. Then the security assaulting the landlord happened afterwards. This editing is very misleading.

I want to see that bodyguard in court otherwise I will lose all faith in our judicial system, his employer should be culpable as well.

First BBC video I've liked in about 5 years.

Who fancies organising a coach so we can all go and have a pint with this man?

What a legend.

Funny how they played the video with the landlord kicking Starmer out of the pub first, when in reality, the landlord spoke to Starmer first, then when Starmer didn’t have an answer for him he tried to hide in the landlord’s pub! The BBC is a joke.

Keir Starmer wasnt paying attention. The pub owner didnt say that he didnt believe in the existance of covid and lockdown. He was questioning how well it was functioning, completely different point

How come he thinks he’s allowed indoors anyway? Everyone else has to sit outside.

Damn Kier is such a liar, the man didn’t say that. I didn’t have any respect for Kier before and now well now I don’t have any respect for him plus I know he’d lie even though there were cameras around, what a joke

He was asked to leave and he didn't, instead one of his goons assaults the landlord. He was trespassing. I hope this man take these goons to court for assault.

Starmer actually told The Landlord he didn't need to be lectured to by him, before walking past him with his goon, in to his pub.
Damage control by BBC ain't going to help. I'm going to drive all the way to Baths Raven Pub to have a pint. They won't be able to walk our streets.

This Pub Man is the correct citizen. He is not afraid of politicians. Says what he really think. Democracy only possible with free people.

He didn't say the pandemic was real.. he said he felt let down and he didn't represent him and ask the right questions.. how can these politicians lie through their teeth when we can hear and see what he said.

Later on he tried to buy a Pastie at Greggs but the shop workers told him to sod off and threw sausage rolls at him.

Keir Starmer’s account of the events and exchanges doesn’t match what actually occurred. Send him a video of what actually happened so he can refresh his memory and give a true answer.

This is clearly edited, they have missed out a large piece of what the landlord said initially, this looks like he was just shouting at him, which tbf he has every right after the last year...

Starmer trying to justify himself at the end . At no point did that landlord deny the existence of covid . The pub industry has been treated badly by the draconian restrictions.
