Fun fact, while there is no video (yet), the XKCD what if site did do a what would happen to Mars in this scenario as the next scenario (and both were printed in the book).
I suspect that we'll see a video version of that at some point.

the ocean has a ton of bound co2 at the bottom. the climate really would drastically change once the new land get's uncovered and the pressures too low to restrain the co2

Hey Tyler, I just watched a Video by the YouTuber S3 on Radiant. It's a startup trying to build a small portable nuclear reactor with a capacity of about 1MW. I think it was interesting and I think you could add a lot with your knowledge and experience :)

Given the parameters of the hypothetical it couldn't drain it completely cuz eventually the portal would be under water over in Mars and so it would eventually stop sucking in water from Earth
