With plenty of adventures hooks and quest ideas for an all Drow adventuring party and campaign, join me as I take a look at “The Dungeon of The Mad Mage” and “Dragonheist Waterdeep” to see how these modules can easily fit into an all Drow adventuring party.

Playing an all Drow party can be an interesting take on a D&D campaign. Do you work for a Matron Mother of Menzoberranzan with orders to rescue captured members of your house? Do you have orders to take down a rival Matron’s house while secretly working for Jarlaxle Banrae? Perhaps Hallister, the mad mage himself has hired you to rid his dungeon of The Drow House of Auvryndar and The House Freth.

Join me as I take a look at The Dungeon of The Mad Mage and see how it can easily be catered to an all Drow adventuring party.

Edit: In “the before times” we played this module in person. We haven’t played in about a year now. I found this footage on my phone from the past summer and thought I would finish the video, even though we are no longer playing in person.

Ohh someone else who think Lolth was based on Lilith. I mean their backgrounds is somewhat similar. Both was consorts who rebelled against their husbands and was banished for it, both are associated with demons and both are called the dark mother. The creators of D&D says Lolth was not based on anything but she do have similarities to Lilith. Ah yes and also in the Norse folklore that dark elves comes from, the folklore from later out in history not all the way back to the Viking times but more in the romantic era when dark elves was one of a myriad of vettir or creatures believed to live underground in cities some part of the folklore say Lilith was their leader and their mother. Off course this is from when old Norse folklore mixed with Jewish and Christian ideas but still there is a connection there. Even today one of our Christmas figures here in Norway is Black Lussi, she is believed to be a below grounder with pitch black skin and to be either a dark elf or Lilith herself who ride out on 13th of December with an army of bellow grounders to give pepole unsolicited housekeeping advice which would be followed or she would climb down your chimney and beat you up. Yeah old Norse folklore is odd.

I am horrible at pronunciation and I do not think that the pronunciation of fantasy names are that important as long as everyone know what you are talking about.

I could not watch all of your video as I am playing in this campaign right now and I did not want to watch past the point we are at. A all drow party could be good for this module though since it is all under ground it is a good idea. Our group have one drow with us, we adopted Nezznar from the intro adventure he is our evil mage now.

I've heard that R.A.Salvatore says you can pronounce the names how you want

I really want to be apart of a game where the party is the command structure for a minor house.

I've heard the argument that drow rhymes with Crow but I've never subscribed to it
