Ronda Rousey’s Mom Says She Predicted Holly Holm Would Knock Her Out

Dr. AnnMaria De Mars is the first woman ever to win a gold medal at the World Judo Championship, doing so in 1984. She is also the mother of former UFC women’s bantamweight champion Ronda Rousey. Further, she may be the most vocal critic of Rousey’s coach, Edmond Tarverdyan. Appearing on Submission Radio, De Mars once again spoke out on Tarverdyan, commenting on Rousey’s loss to Holly Holm at UFC 193. “I predicted it in advance, Ronda trained with an idiot and a fraud,” said De Mars.

A better coach wouldve gone into that fight with a better strategy. A good boxing coach wouldve realised from the 1st minute, Holly was a far superior striker and wouldve advised Ronda at the break not to stand and strike with her, yet Edmond said she was doing fine and to continue doing what she was doing...Whaaaat! Ronda's mom was right, he's not a good coach, Ronda got to where she is today because she was just that much better then her previous opponents. Now she has a met her match, she needs to change up or she'll get a beating far worse then the 1st one.

Rondas mom is 100% correct Edmond is an Fing vampire just riding Ronda to the bank. Until Ronda gets her head out of her ass and fires Edmond she will never win again. Edmond is why RR actually thought she could box with HH. Edmond is why RR has no real footwork, keeps her chin up and her head still, especially why RR almost NEVER kicks etc.

RR is the most physically strong fighter in her division. RR's Judo is off the charts but as a mixed martial artist shes an amateur. As of today 3/26/16 RR still has Edmond as her coach and has barely trained at all since HH nearly blew her brains out the other side of her skull.

RR has unbelievable potential that is just wasting away with Edmond. If I were Dana White Id take out a mob contract on Edmond to just make him "disappear". Give RR a crash course 3 month camp at Mike/Winklejohn where HH and John Jones train she would come out nearly unstoppable but that doesnt look like its going to happen.

Tate vs RR 3-Miesha wipes the octagon mat with RR. As I said before as long as Edmond is her coach she will never win again.

I think it's amazing how many people that don't understand fighting are fans of Rhonda Rousey. She got by on her incredible athleticism and skill in Judo. She is not a natural striker, so it is her coaches job to build her striking skill from the ground up and her coach built the fighting equivalent of a house made of sticks and leaves. He hasn't taught her proper footwork, Hasn't taught her how to utilize proper head movement, hasn't corrected her habit of charging in face first, hasn't taught ANY kicking defense whatsoever....i could keep going. Her mother is absolutely right that the guy lucked out because Rhonda has the ultimate fail-safe in her judo to cover up both of their deficiencies. People need to understand that as her mother and a martial artists herself, she understands how big a deal this is and is not going to just sit back and shut up when she see's her daughter in this bullshit.

Shes a great grappler, but they've worked out her fight plan, so she needs better arsenal in boxing, which she has never been good out. Edmond didn't tech her grappling. She needs a proper boxing coach
