Fx3 has a limiter built in by default, so it's pretty hard to clip audio.

As expensive as that to handle is, it should have 32 bit float

Don’t forget to change the input on the back of the audio handle as well! I honestly can’t remember the setting, but it has to be correct to record both.

accidentally turned second track to 0 and obviously got no audio on the backing track 💀

You’re using a rubber spacing for the seinnheiser, is that enough to stop handling noise?

I want to be able to monitor audio. How do I do so on the fx3?

Does the senheiser have to be plugged into both inputs, to utilise channel two? Im confused. Senheiser is going into channel 1, right? 🙏

Or get a 32-bit float recorder and never worry about anything ever again

How will this work in post of you have the 416 in input 1 and a lav mic in 2. Would they mix together or can I keep the lav and the boom separate?

What do you call the rubber that fits with your mic?

Does this still work when the input is IN3 from the 3.5mm mic jack ??

The cameras are also sold without the top handle, it's a different SKU that is a fair bit cheaper, the handle is a few hundred.

Audio clipping is simply when the the loudness exceeds the dynamic range of the recorder.

For example: 32bit float audio does not clip no matter how loud the sound is since the signal cannot saturate the dynamic range of 32bit float audio.

24bit and especially 16bit audio clip much easier since the dynamic range is vastly smaller.
