This thought-provoking short film was written entirely by the AI - ChatGPT, creating a unique challenge for me to bring it to life on screen.

It was the first time I filmed something that I didn't write myself, following my interpretation of an already written text.
It definitely wasn't easy, but I'm very happy with the outcome!

Definitely a great exercise that improved my filmmaking and cinematography skills.

The story itself also came out much better than expected. Crazy how good artificial intelligence is already at this stage.
Imagine the power of AI 10 years from now with this continued rapid improvement.

One thing to take away from this - AI is definitely worth including in your workflow, whatever the occupation.

AI might sound scary but think of it like this: if you're writing your resume, you might list every job you've ever done with a big description of each job. The decision to then make a custom resume might involve a few seconds of picking the paragraphs relevant for the job you're applying for, and that might involve only copy and pasting for a few seconds. Thats kind of what GPT does. It has a VAST database of words, stories, paragraphs, and its been deliberately trained to put those words and paragraphs in a certain order, based on user requests. This process, while impressive, is unlikely to lead to any major apocalyptic scenario, or any writers losing their jobs. If anything it'll speed up the writing process for some, and make filmmaking easier, cheaper and I dare say: more fun.
