everyone talks about how calm Lo-Fight is and how difficult Ballistic is, but I think we don't pay enough attention to Overhead and the incredible narrative it has regarding Whitty's emotions.
It's like we hear his despair grow as the song progresses

The nature of Whitty's anger is reactive to how BF handles this song, actually. Let's go over a few.
Imitation - While yes, BFs schtick is reflecting the melody back to the attacker, in the context of an irritable individual like Whitty, this comes off more as means of sparking rage.
Jump ins - There's a number of occasions where BF adds a few notes to Whitty's turn in the background (1:00, 1:43 - 1:46), rude and probably pretty annoying when you're rapping your lungs off.
"Doing it better" - Essentially imitation but worse, as BF also regularly changes small bits or adds little tails to melodies, implying he's making Whitty's own rhymes BETTER than him.

These are also somewhat present in Lo-fight, but since BF leads the song it doesn't get a chance to be as prominent as it is here.
*Curiously, * Ballistic lacks all of these besides direct, unchanged imitation. The only thing that happens in Ballistic that would spark more anger is BF slowly trying to regain control of the melody from 1:34 onwards.

0:58 I love this part so much, Whitty sings so aggressively and I love it when it happens on FNF songs, I don’t understand so much why Overhead is so underrated

My theory is that, Whitty had retired from his rockstar career due to anger management issues (prolly to daddy dearest, another competing rockstar at that time, resulting in whitty's grudge towards him). After he retired, he switched to the calmer lo-fi music, from rock, for better management of anger (in lo-fight, whitty is suspiciously calm for a character designed after a bomb, prolly due to stated reason). Lo-fi is also visible in Overhead at 0:37 and similar parts. In Lo-Fight, Whitty is calmer due to his anger management, and uses the chiller lo-fi, because he just wants to sing with boyfried quickly, so that he could be left alone to himself as quickly as possible, and also could test his lo-fi skills. In overhead, whitty slowly loses his calm, and switches to his rock again, visible at the 0:58 and similar parts, and also relatively calmer rock at the starting and majority of the song. In ballistic, he finally snaps, and no longer cares about melody and lo-fi, and basically just screams.

Between all 3 of Whitty's songs, this one is easily my favorite. It sounds like it's Whitty telling the boyfriend over and over again to just leave him alone. I also like to believe those last 3 notes are the BF saying something extremely offensive, which is why Whitty is so pissed in the next cutscene.

Out of all the tracks in this mod, I keep coming back to this one the most. The entire thing, It's just so...catchy.

This is the overlooked song of the bunch, ballistic takes all the credit, while being a good song, it mainly goes for a hard gameplay standpoint, but this is a good song.

Looking back after a long while, something I noticed with this one is that Whitty's voice, despite sounding like a electric guitar, still sounds reasonably like a voice. It also helps that Whitty and bf seem to actually echo each other's lines lyrically, unlike some other old mods with instrumental voices. Having checked back on other old fnf mod OSTs, this is something that most mods with proper vocals understand, and perhaps even the base game itself (I haven't checked), but is noticeably absent in many mods with.. simpler voice banks.
