Wish soreness was a constant thing. Yes it hurts but it also feels as a relief that you did something right and hit the right muscles

Been training seriously for 1 month. My bench is exploding due to muscle memory. Hope to have a 3 plate bench in summer. Good luck guys

Dude, you read my mind! I work out regularly, but every once in a while, I stay away a little bit for one reason or another, like lack of motivation right now. That's what I need to reaffirm, as I already knew some of it. Keep up with your content, bro! 💪🏼👊🏼

My tip would be not to beat yourself up if you don't hit your previous reps. Neuromuscular adaptation fades quickly and is a huge part of lifting. You don't lose muscle until three weeks of no lifting (unless youre severely ill and bedbound) so chill out if you seem weaker after a week off. Even if you lose muscle, muscle grows back a lot quicker if you already built it previously so you'll be back to top form soon. To stop myself getting down about strength losses after a break, i only let myself use lighter weights so i can't compare how many reps i usually do

What a coincidence, I was planning to return to the gym today.

Just like yesterday, and the day before, and the day before.... It's complicated.

You read my mind, Picture Fit!! I'm hoping to get back into the gym after years of inactivity, due to COVID lockdowns, family issues and a recent arthoscopy operation that I'm still slowly recovering from. Thanks for the video.

I got hit by a truck and before that I got hit with the holiday backtrack mindset. So I just remade my commitment to myself to get back to where I was when I quit going.

I feel like I’m starting back where I was when I first started. But I’m light years ahead of that. I know my way around the gym better, I know how. I know all the tricks of my past, things I would’ve done better when I “first started, ” before . I’m looking forward to seeing where I get in the amount of time and how well I bounce back on track rather than when I was just starting from scratch.

The full moon 🌕 many other bodys must be in the same route. Have fun whether to take the fast track or the detoured route. ✌🏿 🙏🏿 let’s get it !!

I made a pull-up goal for myself and decided to do the old fashioned "Do 50 pull-ups no matter how many sets" workout. Then did the rest of my back and bicep exercises afterwards. My arms were at 90-120 degree angles for 4 days lol. I took nearly 15 painful seconds to outstretch my arms. It's been exactly one week and my biceps are still just a bit sore. Pretty funny. I'm an experienced lifter though, so while the soreness was more than expected, I am undeterred.

I use my phone to log my progress. I record how many reps I do in each set and try to do at least one more rep the next time, or increase the weight if too many reps. That keeps me focused pretty well.

2 years ago I went back to the gym, thinking I would get all the DOMS over with as quick as possible, I gave 100% on a multi hour full body workout. Two days after I was hospitalized with traumatic rhabdomyolysis peeing insanely small amounts of what looked like black coffee.

So yeah, take it easy when going back

Hogging equipment just sitting there on a cell phone is so bad at the gym. So glad you mentioned this.

Newbie gains all over again except this time I have 5 hard years of experience and mind muscle connection to start with. Can't wait to see my muscles come back. Starting laughable light and low volume. Building the gym habit is the most important part.

Great video! However, personally I find working out by myself more productive...working out with someone tends to make the session drag on with too much conversation and distraction. Guess I'm a born loner. 🤷‍♂
