I just rewatched Thunder Heart again today. It is one of my favorite movies. It speaks the truth.

My sister worked on the set of Thunderheart as Graham Greene's driver...but at one point 'had' to drive Graham, Val, Sam Shepard (who asked her to cut the rug at a local joint...cementing her crush!!!!) and Trudell - she could barely maintain! Can you imagine she has no photos of the set!!!

One of my all time favorites, too. First time I had ever seen Val Kilmer, and fell in love with him, as well as with Graham Greene. I'm surprised "Thunderheart" hasn't been mentioned in the lists of Val's top movies, in the days since his passing. Fabulous movie. ❤

Thunderheart is my favorite movie. It was so controversial when it came out and there are very few movies of the same truthful quality. It's almost a documentary rather than a fictional story. 😢

Thunderheart remains my favorite movie to have Val Kilmer in it, also for Graham Greene as well. In more recent years I've come to understand just how accurate the move was about what was happening in South Dakota, especially in the 1970's.
