Hey Tiptoe (and anyone else interested), I watched an old Q&A of yours recently, and you said you were a buff of both Scotland and Percy Jackson. As a fan of both myself, I’ve got something sort of close to that I think you would like.

It’s The Iron Druid Chronicles series and its sequel series in the same universe, The Ink and Sigil series. Both by the author Kevin Hearne and all audio books done by the legendary Luke Daniels. The Former series follows a bunch of Druids (mostly a really old Irish one, but more later) and the latter series follows a Glasgow Sigil Agent.

Now, you CAN listen to the sequel series first if you want to get straight to the Scottish characters, but every book (even the annoying audible exclusive ones) are treats to listen to. Plus HELLA spoilers from the prior books in them, so I’d recommend listening to them all to avoid spoilers and cause they’re worth it.

To any Percy Jackson fans who need the mythology itch scratched but as you get older, Percy Jackson, awesome as it is, JUST doesn’t feel “mature” enough and/or you just want something new, THESE BOOKS ARE IT.

I think it’s nice to see other married people who do not regularly wear their rings. Me and my wife personally just hate jewelry and will only wear them when going out for a special occasion. We each wear ours as a necklace most of the time…idk we just never fell into that traditional part of marriage, I didn’t even propose with a ring.
