this video explores the use of dimensional analysis to find dimensions of a physical quantity. in this video we show how the dimensions of a physical quantity such as acceleration can be determined or related to the three physical quantities. here we explore fundamental and physical quantities of matter. The three basic quantities of matter include length, mass and time, their standard units being meters, kilograms and seconds respectively. All the physical quantities (derived quantities) are related to these three basic quantities. The basic quantities cannot be expressed in terms of other physical quantities whereas the derived quantities are physical quantities which are expressed in terms of other physical quantities and they include but arent limited to velocity, acceleration, force etc.
