EASY way to make a MASSIVE difference to your lawn edges

Todays video the customer was shocked to see had done this after 20 years of asking, back in the early 2000's the customer asked me to trim the edges I said I would be able to do it but never got around to it, 20 years later I thought I would surprise him and sort it .

I appreciate your videos thank you. My 40 year old lawn frontage was growing over the asphalt footpath about 200mm. Fortunately the footpath builders used timber boxing for an edge. Once I found that I used a battery reciprocating saw with a nail/wood 150mm blade to run along the edge of the timber - there was about 20m to do so it went quite quickly. I could feel the edge of the timber through the tool so the edge was fairly straight. I'll repeat it every few months now that the timber edge is visible - it will be easy.

I sometimes edge with my strimmer but it’s definitely one of those jobs that I tend to sack off for another day! I do need a half moon edger though.

Looks better for sure, it's the little touches that make a difference. Is there any easy way to tamp down the dirt next to the curb to the same level as the curb without disturbing the grass?
