Thanks for a good tutorial. I followed it on a small sample catalog and it worked fine. There's just one thing I'm missing. When I'm converting a large catalog, how do I know that the process has finished?

This worked for me except none of the edits/stars/selections etc were carried over. Is there a way to preserve those?

If you ONLY use Collections to put copies of images into Adobe Cloud .. should you still migrate Collections?

Hi, one thing holding me back is the lightroom presets I've created, is there a tool that will migrate them to ON1 ? Thanks Simon

HI, I've got a few questions. If my Lightroom catalogs are a mess, I'm assuming that migrating them to ON1 will keep them a mess? Not really your issue, but maybe there's a way to clean them up during migration? One advantage that's been mentioned about going to ON1 is that I don't have to pay a subscription. But with the Lightroom subscription, I always have the latest features. If I buy ON1, I'm assuming I might get updates for the first year but then I need to buy a new version if I want the latest features. I know it's a choice, but when I used to buy Lightroom, I used to just buy the new version each year, which ends up costing about the same as the subscription (which throws in Photoshop). How are the economics of ON1 different if you want to always have the latest features?

Hi, I'm wanting to switch entirely from Lightroom to ON1 and am trying this technique, but it's not working. I've tried multiple times over several days. Lightroom keeps encountering some kind of issues. On my most recent attempt it made it to the ON1 photo exporting stage, but the bar is right near the beginning, not moving, and the number of photos listed for being exported is a lot less than my whole catalogue (which is around 54K photos). I did the Synchronise photo step first.

Do you have any suggestions, any manual way to copy the catalogue, photos as well as collections/tags and edits?? I only have the ON1 trial at the moment if that matters. I just would like to have the transfer work before fully committing to ON1. Also, I have the catalogue spread across two external drives (which are plugged in), but assume that won't matter.

Thanks for the video, and hope you can offer some help :)

Hey there. Does it create an actual new file in the HD for each virtual version you had in LR?

I tried this on a sample folder and some photos still have the "LR" icon even after opening in edit module. Some photos do not have the icon even NOT opening in edit. Images are all RAW and edited similarly. On1 2023 and latest build of LRClassic

If I use the migration from LR to ON1 do I still have my photos in both LR & ON1

I'm going through these steps and ON1 isn't picking up develop settings. LR saves devlop settings into the image file itself for some formats and will NEVER write a .XMP file for that filetype no matter what. ON1 is not reading the develop settings from the image file and so all I have is the actual original image.
