For 2024, the all new Hyundai KONA is all new. Built off a new platform, the new small SUV gets a lot larger. With a 2” longer wheelbase the Kona offers more room for cargo and passengers. Compared to the outgoing model, the new SUV offers up some new bold styling including signature light bars front and rear, rugged armour wheel arches and 17" wheels.

The interior gets a complete redesign with dual 12.3” screens, a shift by wire gear selector, new dash. Our KONA Electric comes power sunroof, wireless charging, rotating cup holders, leather seats, Bose stereo and 360 camera. The front seat thickness has been reduced and along with the longer wheelbase, rear passengers are offered 3” more legroom.

Great review. You confirmed exactly the reason why I swapped from the Ionic 5 Lounge AWD 2022 to the Kona Electric Premium 2024. Almost all the features the Ionic has, but smaller car and bigger range.

We love our new 2024 Kona Electric, we actually bought it here in Kona (Kailua-kona, Hawaii, USA). Love everything about the car, the only thing I miss is our SEL trim lacks V2L. On the other hand, the SEL, normally us$40k, was only $33k because of major sales incentives, an amazing deal.

I've seen lots of the 2024 Kona EV, here in the UK.
Having seen your review i must say i found it superior in many ways. No time wasting and pretty well all the features covered. The V2L in the rear is standard here. I'm soon to take delivery of the base model with the comfort pack of heated seats and s/wheel. 17" which give a supposed 10% additional range. I'll keep an eye on follow up videos. Good work.

Liked it, drove it, bought it! As you mentioned great set of driving and safety features. Golf clubs fit sideways in the back. What more could you want?

Bought the SEL version in February for under $30K. Loving it - the same color as your review, gray interior.

I love it. It does look like a baby Ioniq. Great review as always.

Saw the plate, thought it was Ontario at first, but now I realize you filmed in Vancouver!

As a former owner of a 2020 Kona EV, it's good that Hyundai bumped up the charging rate but it's still well behind and should have been a 150KW rate on its 400V battery. Otherwise, it's a good EV. Current owner of the 2022 Ioniq 5, AWD, LR w Ultimate package.

Hey from Montreal. No 800v system and no awd is the only thing holding me back. It literally has everything we need. But those are still game breakers. Quick charge and the foot of snow we got yesterday is a real deal for winter.

You know, the key is a small thing but one you use every time you get to the car so it's worth noticing. And that key looks like it's hard to find the buttons just by touch. Great review.

12:00 The Konda has a HUD? I don't see it listed on the website. What market are you in?

A lot of people outside California seem to think it's like what they see on TV and movies with palm trees and balmy weather. If you anywhere like Tahoe or even a lot of the foothills, you need all wheel drive for the snow. Sierra snow storms are often measured in feet not inches.

Its funny how different contries get different specs.
In the uk 🇬🇧
We have 2 top line models, both with the larger battery size and both the same price.
N line S & ultimate.
Ultimate gets sunroof and full " leather" heated and cooled front and heated rear seats.

N line S gets leather and alcantara seats, heated and cooled and heated rear seats. And a black headliner, also comes with 19' alloys (17" as a no cost option) and a different front and bumper treatment.

Both get power tailgate, wireless andriod/ iphone.
Both are £43'000.

Great reveiw, I am picking up my advance model next week it come V2L as Standard and has socket it the rear console so you can plug in any appliance which is a really cool feature.
Mine will have 17inch wheels which claims 502mms per charge on the 64ikw battery of course not expecting to get that;;-)
I current drive the FIAT 500e so this car is a marked step up and very much looking forward to it
