I used to be the same when it came to acrylic but I now get Gel builders! Definitely search around for someone who does them, similar to acrylic but less damaging and it goes directly on top of your natural nail so if yours grow long naturally they'll be ideal!

Whatever you wipe (wipes) on your cats, they lick as they clean themselves & it goes into their body as they ingest it (can use wet wash cloth instead). Same thing with spraying your furniture - they lay on the furniture, it gets on their fur which they clean & ingest it. The toxic chemicals then affect the organs, especially the kidneys leading to kidney disease/kidney failure. I don't spray my furniture for this reason, I use vinegar & baking soda to shampoo carpets & hardwood floors, I don't use scented cat litter & I don't spray stuff in the air either. Some candles & diffuser scents can also be toxic.
Best to use a diffuser with safe essential oils. It took me many years to learn/think of this stuff, I don't know why I didn't think of it sooner. It is what it is... I know now!
