I’ve been playing guitar for 14 years, I love my Affinity Tele. Make sure if you buy a guitar to go to a store in person though and feel it, I saw one identical to mine at a guitar center but it had sharp frets.

Yep, my first was a Squier, made in Japan. Wish i had kept it. Had a Charvel too, that I'd love to own again.

Can confirm, these things are great. Not only have i beem learning on one, it is also the starting point for my luthier journey. Its also easy to experiment with these guitars, you can buy new prewired pick guards to try different pickup setups. Pickup replacement isnt too difficult, and of you realllly want to be the master of all tones you can pick up a freeway 10 position switch for about 50 dollars. (Just make sure to buy the correct one for the pickups you have.) If you somehow break or mess up your neck, you can pick up decent quality replacements forbpoke 50-60 bucks online.

If youre looking to upgrade, like i said, pickups are an easy upgrade with the pickguard system, and again, the neck, (which is the biggest factor in quality and comfort, ) can be replaced with a high quality neck. Warmoth makes good necks to custom spec, or you can go to a local guitar shop or ebay and see if you can buy the necks off of a high quality broken fender. Its just insane value for the long run.

I really love these things not just as guitars, but as starting points to take you through your guitar journey.
