Warm sun on dark colors melts snow. Good to see you putting a few fish on the bank, be better in a skillet.

Isn't mother nature great? Puts out some beautiful scenery, even if it is cold as hell! Once my feet or butt gets cold, I'm done. Deer hunting was worse once I got cold. But the only winter fishing we did was ice fishing. Had a blast! Until I get cold! Lol, can ya tell I hate winter? But you have the bug gal pal! I'm hibernating! The dreaded skunk day wasnt this day for ya. You did catch some fish. But I'm thinking you went out and got TONS of exercise, which is great for the body. And the fish biting was just a bonus! Keep fishin, and till next time, TIGHT LINES!

I drove over Cypress Creek @ Cypresswood today. There were at least 9 cars parked on the side of the road. You know what that means. Every time I see that, I think of "ol Pole Bender.

Do you ever use spike it coloring markers on your crawdads? I like to put a little orange on my craws in the winter because some of the craws have orange pincer during the winter, and also an orange belly on a craw looks like a craw egg sac that they are carrying now in Feb, it's just a confidence booster for me adding color.

Yo all..
Two years ago I thought Dallas could perhaps use crampons, so I tried figure out what is crap or feels good on ice, or weedbeds, etc.
So I looked and got me crampons. Some that ain't no good on hard ice covered with a bit of driftsnow but are super on thick soft snow, and kinda deviously similar but with other arrangement of teeth, that are super on seaswept concrete covered with fresh snowy ice, but not on summer weed. (I was comparing them on iced concrete slabs, vs weed (where tides always get to) or wet moss on higher up slabs.)
ICE seems more problematic than snow. I compared short studs against half inch claws.

Whot'ya guys suggest Dallas could use?

Good thing that they are turkey tracks and not Bigfoot prints😊
