Holly made a big move with her daughter right before her senior year of high school. Instead of paying out-of-state college tuition plus dorm fees, they decided to move near the college and spend the money on a tiny home. Now the daughter has housing, a future investment, and got the opportunity to design a living space!

This tiny home is 24x8 ft and fully stocked. The kitchen holds a standard apartment fridge, a microwave, two burner stovetop, and a farmhouse sink. There's a washer and dryer in the small bathroom with a full tub, shower, toilet, and bright lighting above the sink. The loft is unique as you can fully stand up in it, and it's large enough to host a queen bed with ample clothes storage. Not too shabby for college student accommodations!

I am very impressed. Finally a bathtub, a bedroom where one can stand + proper space for clothes. I also find the security system very appropriate for a young woman. I also appreciate the big sink, the fridge, the washer dryer and the big couch. Hats off!

Extremely well thought out and amazing utilization of space for a 24 foot. Yes we have way to much space than we need in a house and downsizing hopefully makes one realize this. Mom you so call lending interest free money for your daughter to eventually pay back is the way to teach responsible that things are not handed to them on a silver platter. This is the best design ever! I love this video because there’s a space in the living area for an extra bed, there’s plenty of storage and the bedroom has room to stand as opposed to crawling around in the loft! Absolutely amazing!! Bravo! As a mom of a daughter, I commend you on the lifelong lessons you’re teaching your daughter while also setting her up for success. And kudos to your brother. I wish I had someone like him!

Beautiful tiny home and so smart for college living!! Being disabled, a loft bedroom would not work for my personal situation but I'm sure I could find a floor plan with a main floor bedroom. The only thing that would bother me would be the lack of a bathroom door even living alone. But that is just me! I would definitely need a barn or pocket door. Otherwise, it's perfect! That dog is adorable!!
