Visas and Green Cards are a privilege, not a right. Also, the University has no say and can do nothing if the State Department revoke your Visa. There are 6 million students with an F1 Visa status in America. That is 1/3 of all college enrollments.

My wife and I are brown, not christian, not Latinos, not Islamists and are American PRs/green card holders. Last week we returned to the States after over two weeks overseas at a family event. American Customs & Border Patrol (CBP) treated us courteously - we were greeted by the CBP immigration official, asked for our documents (valid passports, I-551s/Green Cards) and were cleared within seconds. If a person on a student visa _or any visa including PRs/green cards_ has breached visa conditions e.g., worked outside of visa provisions (F1, J1, L1, H1, H3, E3 for Australians), not maintained attendance at university (F1, J1) or committed any act that suggests that person is not a genuine student/employee or has breached one or more visa conditions (any visa incl. PR/Green Card), USCIS and CBP officials have _always_ had the authority to immediately revoke/cancel their visas and also to place multi-year bans on returning to the United States.

Nearly 500, 000 F-1 visas are issued annually in our country. Revoking 0.1% is not the end of the world.

US is not wrong in such decisions in order that foreign students are supposed to pursue thier studies and not involve in activities other than their studies.

It’s not some of them who get the student visas, it’s how they get it, it’s the fault of those who work for the US consulate’s or Embassies, who either give it them for their greed or because they know them as friends or family. Some who are talented never get it just because they were interviewed by consular’s who had a bad day.

These students don’t have constitutional rights. They are here under strict rules and terms. Any violation of these rules can be and should be reason to deport them!!!
