In Sweden, we have something similar we just call “snickers cake/squares”- a mix of cornflakes and syrup with a chocolate top coat. They reminded me of these- more simple, but probably similar in taste

These are my favorite! I'm in California too. The chocolate/butterscotch on top is key. It's so good.

My mom is from Ohio and we just added the chocolate and butterscotch topping right in with the PB and mixed that all together. I don’t think we sweeten the PB, though.

This was the way my mom always made rice krispie treats but we skipped the chocolate chips on top and just did butterscotch chips.... Dont put in fridge... Gets too cold/dry

I do not use that corn syrup. I use marshmallows and peanut butter.
