Hey guys, I'm back with another kpop unpopular opinions video because everybody was so mature in the comments of my last 'BRUTAL but HONEST kpop unpopular opinions' one (thank you so much for that btw, I really love discussing kpop unpopular opinions 2021 with you all)

*PLEASE READ ME!* Hey everyone! Thank you so much for all your love and support on this video and my channel, I really appreciate it so much 💖 But I just want to address something real quick!

I've received MULTIPLE quite rude comments now regarding the whole ongoing debate on whether or not J-Hope of BTS was originally trained as a vocalist. As I have addressed to multiple people in the replies now, when I did my research for this video, I could not find any evidence confirming nor denying something I had always thought was true.

I have been an ARMY for 7 years now, and really do NOT appreciate rude people coming onto my channel and my videos that I spend HOURS researching for and editing to perfection, yelling at me for something I genuinely could not find any official sources for, and have already discussed with multiple people in the comments. What's the point in repeating something I have already discussed with like 5 people?
I'm trying to create as positive an atmosphere as I can for the unpopular opinions kpop community.

Sorry for the super negative comment and thank you so much again to everybody who has supported my channel, I love you lots!🥰💖

Ah yes....the never-ending battle of whether idol rappers are rappers or not.

I noticed that *most* of the idol rappers who are considered as "good rappers" have some sort of history of underground rapping....for example RM, Yoongi, 3racha, Soyeon, YG raplines, Minhyuk (please BTOB rapline is sooo underrated), LE etc....emphasize on the "MOST" because not all good idol rappers have an underground history.

Anyways Seungmin and Seokjin best

1. I agree like for example Everglow is one of my ult group. A lot of people hated on Mia for getting the most lines in Adios but I listen to the demo version and they tried to give fair lines, but some of the members voices were not it
2. I agree at least be 18 or maybe even 17 but don't debut younger than that
3. I agree fast talking is not rapping, yess thank you for mentioning moonbyul
4. No but for real I'm a midzy and I seen another midzy itzy is underrated and I'm like y'all use the word too much

no.1 Agree
no.2 Agree, I'm glad we can see more idols debuted after 19 and i wish the minimum age for a trainee is set to 15, at this point you start to ahve better judgement and life choices and more or less develop stronger mentally
no.3 agree, rap is literally rythym and poetry, rappers who write their own raps such as namgiseok, seoyeon, jennie moonbyul changbin are the type of people im considering as rappers
no.4 agree. The word is 'under appreciated' not 'under rated'

YG's rappers:you sure baby?

Jkjk, I know what you mean lel! The only rappers I know in general would be Soyeon, Cheetah, CL, LE, Tymee, JenLisa, Moonbyul, RM, Suga, Hobi, Hanse, MarkYongLu and as mentioned, YG rappers

this can be offending but 0.5% of kpop rappers has the rap elements .i'd say ONLY skz in 4TH GEN are pretty good rappers (ONLY HAN AND CHANGBIN )cuz this gen seems to have many weak rappers.also gg groups dont need rappers (not saying females are bad at rapping cuz thats not true at all but like i'd say there's only 1 or 2 rapper that are KINDA good in the whole kpop ) . so IN MY OPINION the majority of kpop "rappers" are below average .

Agree for the 1st BUT songs should be also made to let all the members shine. Ex Everglow: ppl say that Mia gets the most lines bcs her voice suits the song more, but then... Idk compose songs that aren't only made for her I mean they've proven it with Ladida where each member had lines which fits them.
Also examples of songs who aren't equal but fair : Ladida EG, So bad StayC, Duhmdurum/I am so sick Apink, SSOTS Izone and many more

Honestly the only real rappers in kpop is the BTS rap line and probably soyeon from G-Idle (not sure if I spelled her name right)

Why does it matter if a group has rappers or not some kpop groups don't have rappers but their songs always hit its better to not have rappers than making an idol rap even if their not rappers it sounds like their just talking fast when you make vocalist rappers

I so agree with the Felix one. Take their last 3 comebacks: Levanter, God's Menu, and Back Door. If you ask someone to state 3 iconic lines from each song they will 9/10 times say "It's all good now" (levanter), "cooking like a chef, i'm a 5 star michelin" (god's menu), and "hey, you want to come in?" (back door) which are all sang by Felix. he might not have the most lines, but he generally has the most impactful lines which is one of the many reasons why he is one of the most - if not the most - popular members of Stray Kids

Honestly most of these except the first one are popular opinions lol but I definitely agree with all of these. One of my favorite rappers is Chanyeol from EXO but I don’t consider him an ACTUAL rapper but rather a really good idol rapper since (for me) he always delivers but he’s definitely no Zico or Jay Park or anything (I consider them REAL rappers). As a black person, I have pretty high standards for rappers, one of which is that they HAVE to write most, if not all of their verses. Which is why I don’t consider most kpop rappers rappers. (If that makes sense)

I would like to clear a misinformation.. JHope was not trained to be a vocalist..nor was V trained to be a rapper.. I don't know who started this but JHope was trained to be a Sub-Vocalist later Rapper which he is (Hope is a rapper + sub vocal).. JHope according to the members and Bighit had a great sense of Rythem (probably because of his street dancing background where he was is known for freestyle and he was previously fantastic in beatbox too) this made him become a professional rapper with the help of RM Suga and Supreme Boy... He is known to be amazing in switching flows with ease and melodic rapping is his strength.. 1 Verse by Hobi was show this strength from him to switch flows in the same verse.. he even talks about the influence of street dance in his rap in his song Baseline.
"Squishy Min Yoongi" intro videos have contributed in spreading alot misinformation which is not confirmed by anyone..

1.I agree. Equal line distribution is not always necessary. There is a reason behind that. Like you said, Felix says few lines, but they are remembered by everyone. His voice is peculiar and you can recognize it very easy. Momo has less line and she has a nice voice, but her speciality is dancing so they should give her a break dance like in "Likey". I also thinks that sometimes the person might have asked less lines and the company listened to them.

I THINK COMPANYS SHOULD QUIT CREATING GROUPS WITH MANY MEMBERS.
Imagine training for 10 years to get half a line for every comeback...

3:15 he was never trained as a vocalist. He was always supposed to be a rapper and he was a hip hip dancer. That rumour has been debunked. They were supposed to be a hip hop group with only rappers. I don’t want to come across as rude just this is not true 😂

1) Agree, I think they give them lines according to the position, they have them for a reason.
2) I AGREE, I mean thats tough for them as they need to have good grades and the idol stuff, The diets OMG, they need to stop
3) IKR, Barely some can Rap.
4) The groups on the screen are not under-rated, Not every group can be big as BTS and Blackpink some will be less popular.
