Just as cells are basic building blocks of human body. Even C language has smallest building block called Tokens. Without tokens, programming can't be done in C

These Tokens are smallest unit of a C program.In C programs, each word or a symbol is referred to as a token

C Supports Six Types of Tokens:

1. Identifiers
2. Keywords
3. Constants
4. String
5. Operators
6. Special Symbols
