Schroedinger's Shill - simultaneously an Nvidia shill and an AMD shill until observed and the waveform collapses.

"A770 is Intel card no.1 so we should be comparing it with the 4090", genuinely KILLED me 🤣

"Mad Tim" cracked me up.
You both do good work, keep it up!

One of the key takeaways I've found with high refresh rate monitors that never gets mentioned is the desktop experience is MUCH better at 120/144/165+ - the mouse isn't leaving ghost trails all over the place. Even if all games were locked at 30FPS could never go back and using a laptop at 60 drives me nuts. Skylines needs to decouple the refresh rate of the UI and the background simulation, you see it in a ton of other games (especially on Switch) where stuff off in the distance animates at lower refresh than in the foreground. Its weird and a bit jarring, but completely playable.

I love Tim's "angry sounding" voice. It's so cute.

Love the glow in Tim's eyes when he quotes "another useless review" to Steve.

I still owe you guys a thanks 🙏 for back in the days recommending the rx 6800 16GB over the 3070 8gb - as far of having my rig for years…and it was also cheaper…

I honestly think that a large chunk of your (or any technical channel for that matter) audience (maybe even half of them or more) are heavily driven by confirmation bias. I noticed it myself when I bought Nvidia GTX 1080 Ti. It was the first time I spent so much money on a GPU and a month down the line I just noticed that my whole viewing and commenting history in YT is basically 70% filled with GTX 1080 Ti or other GPUs reviews or benchmarks or some sort of performance comparisons. I had never viewed so much GPU focused content ever before buying GTX1080Ti and I had never commented so much on videos before. And I really felt like I became somewhat toxic in my comments. lol So after a bit of self-analysis I just made a conscious decision to stop. I feel like some people just never stop to realize they became fanboys and toxic and actually very silly and a bit crazy from a standpoint of normalcy. They just never learn to have enough maturity to be a bit more self-conscious, or maybe they embrace the craziness, idk.

I’m happy you’re having fun but thank god I finished high school 17 years ago. I can’t keep with the energy of this comments anymore 😂

A game like Cities Skylines absolutely benefits from higher frame rates. Pan across a large skyscraper city at a low frame rate and tell me it doesn’t make your eyes bleed.

37:22 - Reminds me of all the times I'm told "you're overthinking it" and often (not always, cos sometimes it's actually true) I want to / do reply with "are you sure you're not under-thinking it". 🤣

35:30 : People do not understand that Product Names are made up to serve a narrative. If the 8800xt is 10% less powerfull than the 7800xt but cost 150$, it would be the best bargain of the century. The only things that matter is what performance for what price.
And the 7800xt is 30% better price/performance than previous gen because : 650/550 * 1.1 = 1.3 which means a 30% generational uplift.
Nvidia tried to pull us a nasty like that with the 2000 series. Every card was better than it's predecessor but also more expensive.

When listening to some of those comments, I immediately think of the sweaty tryhard gamer dude from the World of Warcraft episode of South Park.
