In this video, Karen mixes Clay Tack with EZ960® Sterling Silver Clay to create an extra strong paste in order to make a kinetic ring. This project video demonstrates the construction of a ring that features a spinning focal point, and covers many tips and tricks on how to create mechanisms that allow an element to spin.
Clay Tack is an additive that when mixed with clay to create a paste, creates extra strong connections that are less likely to break when the piece is manipulated or moved in the greenware state. This is particularly helpful for the construction of a piece that has moving parts like the ring featured in this project video.

You're an engineer. Your techniques are immaculate. I hope one day I'll be able to make something like this. Just starting out with silver clay. Thank you for sharing.

Great video, thanks, Karen!!! Will have to give this a try!
Quick question: Do you have a video showing how to use your carbon steel lace cutters?

Hi, I'd like to make something using this technique, but I'm only able to torch fire now. Is it possible, and what kind of clay would I use? Thanks for any input.
