Lord Jesus Christ, Son of God, all-worthy and deserving of all of my love and all of my life, all my being and focus, have mercy on me, a sinner!! I commit to live for you!! Holy, Mighty, and Ever-Living God, I resolve, with the help of Your Grace—as unworthy as I am of this redemption, I am less worthy still to continue to deny Your power unto righteousness as I have done, woe is me!!, —to, in as much as I can rightly do with Your right calling for my life, avoid whatever external things lead me to sin against so Great, so Worthy and so Perfect, and so Good a God as You! And I submit all of my faculties, physical, mental, and spiritual, and all of my things unto You, that you might heal them and heal me and rightly order all of my being and thoughts, perspectives, attitudes, affections, desires, and actions to be that which is most in line with Your Supreme Existence and Goodness, Love, Worthiness, Justice, and Supreme Rule... You promise that those who hunger and thirst for righteousness, you will satisfy, and in eye of Your Supreme Sovereignty and absolute Power and Goodness, and given this desire for You that You have engrained within my heart, and my mind, and my whole soul and my body and all my being, I petition, with eye towards my great need for You that will continue indefinitely, that You make me as holy as I can be that I might come to sin no more in this mortal life or in eternity. I realize that I am a sinner, but I realize that You are a Redeemer, not just of hereafter, but of these present days also, and I ask, if You lack the power (which You most certainly do not), or if I lack the willingness (but even this surely You supply in one way or another), cannot be totally amended from all sin in this mortal life that You at least decrease my number of offenses as much as is possible that I might not contempt your Infinite Sacrifice. Wash over all of my sins by that Work of Yours, even now, and renew me through the Spirit by the transforming of my mind by Your Truth, the redemption of my body even now, the glorification of my soul, and the creation of an ever-new heart within me. This I ask through the Matchless and Ever-Glorified Name of Jesus Christ my Lord, amen.

Sin is the transgression of the Law. 1John 3:4. When you break the Torah you sin. If you say you hate to sin and not want to keep the Law of God than you are a liar and the truth is not in you.

SIN IS DOING THINGS THAT ACTUALLY HURT PEOPLE!
A lot of Christians are made to feel very badly about thoughts, words and deeds that are NOT sinful. At the same time, many are also made to feel quite OK about thoughts, words and deeds that really are sinful!
How to tell the difference?
The first thing to realize is what "sin" really is...and what it is NOT! There are a LOT of false teachers and preachers who do all they can to ADD on all sorts of thoughts, words and actions to what Jesus defined as "sin." In fact, he ran into the same problem in his day with self-righteous religious legalists he warned us about--"For they bind heavy burdens and grievous to be borne, and lay them on men's shoulders; but they themselves will not move them with one of their fingers" -Matthew 23:4.
Jesus made it clear what real "sin" is--doing or saying things that hurt people, which included not doing some things, like callously ignoring the suffering of others when you had the ability to help them. And to be clear, by "others, " Jesus meant every human being!
But the religious legalists of today will have you thinking and FEELING terrible about the dumbest of things, just to beat you up emotionally and keep you in a state of terribly low self-esteem! Why? Because that makes it much easier for them to CONTROL YOU!
Otherwise, "getting saved" is all about that moment when you come to the realization that leading a life of doing hurtful things to others or not caring about the suffering is the most miserable way to live! The world falsely promises happiness to those who achieve riches or power or fame by using or abusing other people to obtain them! But then, they only want more and more! Why? Because their souls are STILL empty!
By contrast, the person who wakes up and realizes the only way to be happy is to lead a life of doing good and helping the suffering is FULL OF JOY on the inside! The truly "born again" person, of course, only WANTS TO do good! The true follower of Jesus looks at those trapped by the delusion of selfish (sinful) living with nothing but PITY! Not envy!
Ah, but those Christians who have been deluded into thinking God demands they give up every, single, joyful thing this life has to offer, even though they are things that HURT NO ONE, are SO MISERABLE, they do, indeed, envy others who, to their blinded eyes, are "getting away with sin, " so it makes them REALLY MAD!
Often, they curse people for doing things that are not at all sinful, but only because they, secretly, wish they could enjoy doing the same things!
For these poor souls, the line between real sins (that one should feel guilt, fear and shame about) and false sins (which one should NOT feel guilt, shame and fear about) is so blurred, they cannot tell the difference!
So, the next time you are feeling guilt, fear or shame about something you've said or done or thought, ask yourself this important question--"Did I really do something that hurt somebody, or was I just told that action, word or thought was a "sin" based on some distorted interpretation of the Bible [usually, verses twisted to mean something the biblical author did not intend or words taken completely out of context]?"

What ARE the commandments of God (Lord Jesus Christ).

"And you shall love the LORD your God with all your heart, with all your soul, with all your mind, and with all your strength. This is the first commandment. And the second, like it, is this: You shall love your neighbor as yourself. There is no commandment greater than these." (Mark 12:30-31)

Forgiveness recognizes that what you thought others did to you did not occured. It does not pardon sins and make them real. It sees there was no sin. And in that view are all your sins forgiven. What is sin, except a false idea about yourself and others? Forgiveness merely sees its falsity, and therefore lets it go. What then is free to take its place is now the will of God.

Sin is “unbelief.”

Well, you say, “Is smoking a sin, drinking a sin?” No, no. That’s the attributes of unbelief. You do that because you don’t believe.

Sin is a human construct. It's a word that allows the religious to simultaneously point a pious finger and declare themselves forgiven.

I am not a sinner, I'm not lost and I don't need forgiveness. I won't be told otherwise.

Have a great day.

That is not sin, that is symptomatic of sin. Just like, cough, sore throat, body aches, pains, clammy skin are not the flu, they are symptoms of the flu

Can I ask you a question? A man on death row admitted to and is convicted for raping and killing 10 women. For years, while on death row he accepts Jesus as his lord and savior, reads his bible cover to cover, believes every word of it and preaches to other inmates convincing them to accept Jesus themselves. Now here’s the question... is that man in heaven?

First i agree with most of what is said ... but each should've had a verse to back it up. Like I JN 3:4 sin is trangression of Torah. A sinner is a criminal in YHWH (GOD of the Bible) MT 6:33 righteousness is being a law abiding citizen, who are NOT under the law. Ask anyone in law enforcement - police, or even a defense lawyer ... they will explain "Criminals" are under the law, law abiding citizens are under grace. Grace is the protection of the laws. Ezek 33 speaks of the guard on the watchtower responsibility to warn of the coming sword. Rev 1:16 the Sword of Yeshua / Jesus mouth during the day of YHWH (English Bibles mistranslated YHWH to LORD). JN 1:14 Yeshua is the Word in flesh. PSA 119:142 states the Word /Torah is Truth. If the Bible tells us to Guard HIS Torah. JN 14:6 Yeshua states He is the Way, Truth, and the Life ... PSA 119:1 Torah is the Way, PSA 119:142 Torah is Truth, and DT 32:46-47 Torah is the Life, JN 1:14 Yeshua is the Word in flesh and in Hebrew Word and Torah are the same meaning... if we are to warn others via the Sword / Word / Torah and we don't then their blood is on our hands we have willfully committed a sin / Crime as a Guard, Heb 10:26-31 is clear if we willfully sin, our salvation is nullified as a wedding / Marriage that is nullified means it NEVER HAPPENED! How does that fit if one thinks they are the Bride of Yeshua / Jesus upon His return? NOT USING SCRIPTURE is WILLFULLY IGNORANT, MISLEADING and SINNING. This shows mans traditional teaching without using the Authority of Scripture (in CONTEXT) which is useless for worker's of the Gospel LK 10:2, instead these are Lawless / Iniquity workers MT 7:21-23 Those who (Criminals) hate Torah wilfully. (TORAH - means Instruction of Lifestyle of Law abiding citizens).
