The BEST Portable Monitor I've Reviewed Yet... AND THERE'S TWO!

Portable monitors are a dime-a-dozen. There's no shortage of companies that will sell you the most generic 1080P 15" panel that didn't meet quality control to go into a laptop, so instead it's slammed into a plastic shell and sold for $100. But then there are the monitors that are actually worth the space they take up in your travel bag... and the eHomeWei might just be the best portable display I've reviewed so far.

Featuring Dual 16-Inch QLED Displays, 2560x1600 Resolution per panel, full 10-point touchscreens, a 4096 pressure-sensitive stylus included in the box, along with 100% sRGB and 100% DCI-P3 color accuracy, the X2 Pro from eHomeWei has just found a permanent home in my travel bag.

But first... What am I drinking???

From The Brewing Project (Eau Claire, WI) it's the Hawaiian Shirt Party Imperial Sour Ale (7.4%). I want to replace my blood with this.

You can set windows to know which touch screen goes to what display. Go to tablet PC settings in control panel (yes even if it's not a tablet PC) and run the setup (you might have to do this twice on some systems) and it will ask you to touch each screen. After that it should detect each independently.

Would be interesting to install a Nintendo DS emulator with this screen and the stylus

Thank you. It would be helpful to demonstrate and speak about pixels per inch and how useful the displays are for office use with documents and spreadsheets. Thanks again.

I don't get the touch issue problem. I often use my Surface with an external touchscreen or an other surface wirelessly and never run into this issue.
As for using it with a Mac. Apple devices don't support displayport MST, so even if you have one with more monitor support, it would only drive one screen.

"Through the magic of buying two of them..." - sorry, wrong channel!

I've been watching your videos for years and this is the first beer you've reviewed that I've been immediately interested in!

The non-touch model sounds compelling, but the touch one is too expensive for lacking any facility for VESA mounting. Seems like an odd feature in a portable screen, but for a temp setup it's super useful.

I am curious to know if there were any weird display artifacts from the top panel when flipped all the way back into tent/sharing mode because the panel would be upside down.

I recall that being a problem with another product like this where they tried to minimize the bezel gap by inverting the top panel.

, not touch issue was dealt with a long time ago. The driver implementation is the limiting factor now. I deal with touch screens on a regular basis, working with POS systems, we never had an issue where the touch is registered to the wrong display except when driver implementation by the manufacturer is faulty. I've got displays that no driver is required and they register touches only on what is displaying on them.

This is sick but 700 is too much. Would also be cool to see 2 1080 displays with a built in battery. Would be a game changer for portable anything.

Every time Jeff drinks beer in his channel he reminds us that he normally does not drink beer, he drinks only when it's a very special one.

I really wish there were some great 4k OLED portable monitors - even if they were 60hz - but I'm just looking for productivity.

Picking this up because it fits my needs so incredibly well, used your affiliate link. I do wish you delved a bit further into the stylus experience, how a digital artist might fair with it for painting/sculpting. I'll write out my experience here once I've had some time to use it.

Hi Jeff, I was tasked with creating a PUBG and GTA (not sure which one yet) home gaming server for a client. The client is taking a Dell Poweredge T320 with a Xeon E5-2690, 48 GB ram and whatever video card he decides to get.

My question is; is this a good system for it? I was thinking of running them I VMs. Does esxi do video card passthrough to gamem

Are these monitors actually 100% accurate when it comes to displaying color or have 100% coverage of the spectrums they were tested in?
