Indie Band Covers Nickelback On The Spot (Ft. Peach Pit)

In this episode of Covers on the Spot, Peach Pit brought their indie rock sound to "How You Remind Me"—a track that defined early 2000s post-grunge. The result was a reimagining that balances reverence for the original with reinvention. This session was proof that great songs transcend genres when put in the hands of the right musicians. Don’t miss this fresh take on a modern rock classic!

Peach pit is criminally underrated. Love this.

that intro makes you realize how big of a Red Hot Chili Peppers hit this could've been

That guitarist totally shredded. Love this one.

love how Mikey always looks like someone's uncle that pops into the garage during a family gathering and hits you with the "hey, y'know I used to dabble in some drums back in the day" before busting out the most unreal solo you've ever heard

Lead guitarist’s tone was incendiary… INCENDIARY. Nice job.

Met these guys at a local small venue in 2019 right before Covid hit in a small city just outside of Vancouver
These guys were walking around all dressed up in Christmas themed costumes through out the venue, talking to people in the line waiting to get in, smoking cigarettes outside with everyone and Neil was over by the merch table happy to talk to everyone and sign anything that came his way. Down to earth and incredibly talented. Can’t believe that was already 5 years ago already!

I have to say, getting a coffee delivered to you in studio is one of the nicest things, always gets the vibe right.

As someone who is already a fan of the channel and a massive fan of Peach Pit my mind was just blown. This was so sick.

I loved seeing their process. The result was also incredible. 10/10 content.

Props to the boys for finding some points of difference to make it their own

That little bit of double time groove at 5:40 would have been awesome to explore. The final version was cool but would have been awesome to hear something even more different from the OG. Cool to have Peach Pit on this series!

Absolutely phenomenal artistic choices is this one. Bringing it down to voice and guitar only with the chorus felt SO good.
