Typhoon is a name given by NATO to this submarine. Its real name is Akula. Which means shark in Russian

Thanks for making these videos, you´ve obviously put a lot of work into them! Can I just ask you to include metric units as well? Just a number on the screen will do, just to avoid pausing the video all the time to calculate those pretty high numbers in some videos.

This is the only video I found that clearly explains how a nuclear submarine works. Thank you very much!

can't believe that submarines exist in as early as 1800s, interesting how people invent something amazing

Thank you for videos like this. Science and technology is what makes the world go round ( well at least make life easier). Now i know that many are not technically inclined, but IMO, if more people watched technical videos ( instead of being hooked on watching BS like Real Housewives of, fake wrestling, Kardashians, or some of the multitude other reality nonsense shows) that are explained and visually presented clearly like this one, videos on how things are built, how they work, the benefits of them, be it buildings, planes, cars, or any number of other things many people take for granted, i believe mankind could truly solve many problems that afflict us. Thanks for the upload.👌😊

Rocket engines DON'T need an atmosphere to burn. They all contain an oxidizer as part of the fuel mixture. The missiles don't fire underwater for other reasons.

Learning to work on a submarine is really in depth. And you also get a sinking feeling.

Heavens to Betsy: we have come so far in what seems such a short time. The details explained, especially regarding the time it can stay underwater and the oxygen creation are totally mesmerizing.
