This was a massive hit back in the day, Sarah Brightman's album "Timeless" was inside every other Christmas wrapping, including mine. It was an amazing album, loved it! It was a period in time when classical music - or "pop-opera" was extremely popular for a while, leading with Brightman, Bocelli, Il Divo and other pop-sounding classical artists. Good times.

Sarah Brightman was the original Christine to Michael Crawford's Phantom in PHANTOM OF THE OPERA. She was married to Andrew Lloyd Weber at one time. She also sang at one of the Olympic Games flame lighting ceremonies; I just can't remember which one. Maybe the last one in England as that is where she is from.

Time to say goodbye is an incredibly popular exit song for funerals in the UK. Sarah has had a fantastic career in the West End and Broadway and much more besides. She was married to Andrew Lloyd Webber when he wrote Phantom, writing the part of Christine especially for Sarah to sing.

I saw Andrea perform live in Seattle on his early U.S.tour. My seat was aligned evenly to the very end of the stage, practically on the stage, and I could see clearly every feature of his face and countenance as he faced the audience and sang so closely to my ears. I was thrilled throughout his performance, and it is a forever memory. Also, I still have the LP which my daughter gave me as a birthday gift she purchased in England of "The Phantom of the Opera" starring Sarah Brightman and Michael Crawford. Sarah and Andrea make magic together in this above performance. Great, great memories! Thank you for your splendid reaction!

It STILL IS will SEE people packed into theaters for this. I am surprised that you are not familiar with Sarah Brightman. She was the original "CHRISTINE" (the female lead) in ANDREW LLOYD WEBBER'S ( Sarah's husband at the time), musical "PHANTOM OF the OPERA"
