You speak nothing but the truth. Everything you said, I learned by experience. I am sending this clip to my 23 year old son ( handsome/Drexel U college graduates 🎓/finally got a permanent 1st job as a QA chemist/no student loan due to parents ) and a couple of his friends. It’s actually amazing to me how many people will use their credit card to buy something if their bank account doesn’t have that number in it.

I always just saw credit card as a means to transfer money to purchase things with the bonus of building credit and rewards program stuff

If you have the ability to pay for a bill and still have what you need, it makes sense to then grow what you have while putting the real priorities first. But also, if it's right to pay yourself first, what have we sold ourselves to, around debt and shallow "purpose"? I agree with things you've clarified. But as a young person, do you think that this country creates bondage with the system? These things are good to know
