I really wonder what happens in the head of the current BMW designers. While the technology is undeniably impressive, that UI and overall design approach reminds me a lot of the E65. BMW has lost its identity, and this car is yet another confirmation of this fact.

It's sad, and reminds us to preserve the cars we have, because someday a new car will just be one giant grille.

Other than the absence of physical HVAC and favourite buttons, I like it. Although the absence of the V8 in Europe is (sad) news. Another reason to move to the US. 740d is normally a good steer though. I also appreciate the way you remove you shoes when trying the foot rest - properly respectful :)

I am a long time BMW enthusiast and am now on my 4th X5, but I am so glad I got my 2021 45e before this very odd design change. I can’t imagine buying anything that looks so ridiculous as this so I hope by the time my current vehicle needs to be replaced that they have come to their senses. That gigantic kidney grill does not get my thumbs up vote.

As Thomas Said this has more character and presence compared to EQS ... yes the grill is bit hideous at first look but I am sure it will grow on you ..This car has majestic presence compared to old one BMW is going behind RR style .. from Doors carpet headlight ... no wonder even if they offer 'Extend Wheelbase version' of i7 / 7series
