The true beauty of this episode (I saw it on the CN app) is that it makes fun of BOTH sides without resorting to unnecessary mockery and meanspiritedness. Carmen demonstrates true social justice in that she genuinely cares about her peers, while Gumball only decides to do good things for ulterior motives and jealousy. The show writers manage to show kids and even older audiences what it means to have human compassion vs being nice in order to make yourself look good (Rocknaldo has this lesson too). I know Anti-sjws are tired of the antics of false SJWs but they too often ignore what true social justice is. This is an episode that should be viewed in this age where we are quickly forgetting what true justice and kindness is.

What makes this episode even better is that the exact type of people this episode is parodying in this scene got mad about it on Tumblr. There was a whole bunch of people talking about how this type of joke shouldn't be in a show for "ten year olds" and how because of this one joke, Gumball isn't worth watching anymore. It's amazing. Especially considering how hypocritical they're being, because many of em' had been watching this show meant for ten year olds before this. The creators of this series are well aware that it isn't just kids who watch the show, and they take advantage of that. It's not a hard idea to grasp.

I get sick of political jokes and stuff in cartoons too, but I don't think it's a bad thing to have a few, especially if they're done in a good way.
