Think about it. This song, Hands Across America, Live Aid, "Don't they Know It's Christmas", etc, all during the 80s... Anyone who says it's simply 80s nostalgia has not a clue how different this country/world is by comparison. Yes, there were a LOT of problems and was far from idyllic; Just the same this world feasts on and rewards cruelty and lack of any semblance of compassion or real kindness. I'm 56, lived it, and the starkness between these two times is madness.

Honestly a track that hits my heart and the heart of many, One of Phil's best tracks, and my favorites. Truly iconic. A masterpiece, and one of his most known. What a legend, and we can all say they'll never be anyone alike Phil Collins. Truly an icon, and glad this song has hit everyone's heart as well. The memories we have with it, incomparable. All the best legend, reminds me of when I was back home despite only being there limited, I was just glad I was there for another day, it was truly a paradise with family, and where my heart belong, but unfortunately life donest let you stay forever, especially with how we have to survive, and how it works.
