I like how the current climate of wetshaving has allowed the release of passiflora. It's like the drama is behind and we're recognizing it and moving on. I'm glad you enjoy the GOATlander, I wasn't sure because you enjoy blade feel. Reading the comments on this video, I'm glad to see others enjoy it too!

surprised you didn't find it too mild; I like it a lot and will get a stainless steel version when it comes out; handle is ok but prefer the Christopher Bradley handles; find the shave angle more natural than the Christopher Bradley

Nice setup and shave Chris. Catching up on some vids. For me, Omnibus is the best I’ve tried so far(haven’t tried A&E yet but at top of list). I am on a software freeze to use some up. I just received the Karve CB and had my first shave SB D- excellent the best 1st I’ve had on smoothness and efficiency. Just ordered OC C and and a 3” Gladius handle.

Did Chris from Karve say when he will sell just the Overlander head?

The Overlander has become my favourite razor, it's almost impossible to get any irritation from it, it's so we'll considered in its design..

If I have any minor gripes, I don't love the smell of wet brass. Wet brass is also quite a tacky material so it can stick/drag/suction (however you experience it) when there is no obvious lather or residual lather. Minor complaints easily avoided, I find I get to shave over a residual slickness area twice and then it's gone so it's time to relather.

I don't have much experience with B&M. I've only tried Leviathan, a scent I liked, but didn't love. It was good quality soap, so I'll most likely try something else from them down the road.

As Far as blades go, I started with a pack of 20 Shark blades, they were fine. I bought 100 Astra platinums for less than $10 bucks (still working on that). I tried a pack of 10 feather blades, which performed well, but not well enough to justify the price. I also tried the Personna blades that came with my Era, but they seemed to cause some irritation.
So Astra has essentially been my go to, and they work pretty well for me. I'd be open to suggestions for similar blades, but It's hard to beat Astra's value.

Give Gillette Silver Blue blades a try. For me, they are a bit more sharp and a bit more mild than the Astra SP green blades. I use them both. Ymmv of course.

wet nice razor and i think not to bad on the price in the grand scheme of things 👍 b&m stuff is good for me definitely a bit hit and miss on the sents though . got to say looks like you have shed a few pounds brother. looking at the leaf into and now i can see you your neck is looking slimmer 👌

Great shave Chris. I am going to have to grab the overlander at some point there is noting but accolades for the razor. How does passiflora compare to fruit de La passion from A&e ? Totally different or would owning both of them be redundant? Thanks.

I love the fruitiness of Passiflora. It's strong but not cloying. Totally original. Have you tried the A&E Fruit De La Passion or whatever it's called?
