The India-Pakistan conflict has been one of the most enduring and volatile issues in the modern world. This conflict has its roots in the partition of India in 1947, which created two independent nations, India and Pakistan. Since then, the two countries have engaged in multiple wars and border disputes, resulting in a complex and dynamic history.

In this video, we will take a deep dive into the history of the India-Pakistan conflict, exploring the key events and turning points that have shaped the relationship between these two nations over the past 70 years. We will do this by examining the conflict on maps, which will provide us with a visual representation of the changing territorial claims and borders between India and Pakistan.

We will start by looking at the partition of India in 1947, which led to the creation of Pakistan as a separate state. From there, we will examine the first Indo-Pakistani War in 1947-48, which was fought over the disputed region of Kashmir. We will then move on to the subsequent wars in 1965 and 1971, as well as the ongoing conflict in the region.

Throughout the video, we will use maps to show how the territorial claims and borders between India and Pakistan have changed over time. We will also explore the impact of these changes on the people who live in the region, including the millions of refugees who have been displaced by the conflict.

By the end of this video, viewers will have a better understanding of the complex and often violent history of the India-Pakistan conflict. They will also gain insight into the ongoing challenges facing these two nations as they continue to struggle for peace and stability in the region.

You made it look like as if 1971 Indo-Pak war was sparked by the Bengali freedom movement of East Pakistan. Omitting the fact that from June to Dec, thousands of Bangladeshi refugees took shelter in India as a result of operation searchlight by Pakistani army (a genocide of Bengali population) post elections in which Mujib Ur Rehman got the majority and was denied the transfer of power. Mukibahini was raised as a result of it and with the support of India. India had to intervene in Dec after a preemptive air strikes and attack by Pakistan.
West stood by Pakistan, as it was their leverage against USSR. Turned a blind eye to the genocide by Pak military and the refugee crisis that developed as a result of it. Pressurised India by sending carrier battle group. It was USSR (Russia) that stood by India and helped by sending their pacific fleet (with icbm subs). India did not forget the help they extended. And is one of the several reasons why India still stands firm with Russian people.

Even though India has won the entire war with Pakistan. India never tried to capture pok. Why is that? India believes in agreements. Nothing achieved through hatred and violence can survive. No betrayal of trust. What would have happened if Pakistan had got India's armed forces and manpower?

You have made many mistakes India's wasn't divided for Hindu Muslim but the Muslims wanted separate state also India wasn't for just Hindus but sikhs, Muslims, Budhist, Jains, Christians etc all other religions
Also. Jammu and Kashmir never asked to join Pakistan the maharaja wanted to stay independent but as Pakistan invaded Kashmir with it's own army disgusing as tribals they attacked n torture many Kashmiris specially targeted minorities then the maharaja seek help to India then J & K become part of India

Would love to know more about their respective armaments. I travelled to India in around 2013 and read newspaper articles about their ties with Russia so it would be interesting to know which counties each is allied with.

Pakistan for muslims
India for rest (including muslims)

Despite the everlasting tension between the two countries, I find it quite humorous that most individuals from these countries have never met someone from the other side. Intriguingly, in places like the UK where I reside, Pakistanis and Indians often coexist peacefully and discover significant common ground. This observation shows the importance of moving beyond past conflicts and mistakes (by both parties) and fostering deeper mutual understanding. By doing so, I am confident that we will find our similarities outweigh our differences.

Disclaimer: My comment is presented without bias. My intention is solely to promote understanding and, hopefully, to inspire change. It is important to acknowledge that among both Pakistanis and Indians, as with all populations globally, there are both commendable and disreputable individuals. The behaviour of a few should not be seen as representative of the entire group (if your wondering, currently, there are 1.6 billion Indians and Pakistanis. This accounts for around 20% of the World's Population).

Would it have been worst today if they didn’t divide?

you have not given any idea about the history of the region before 1947. J&K was the place of Hindu sages and demography wise it was also a hindu state until the illegal settlements of muslims (mostly converted by Arabs when they attacked India during 12th to 18th century). Historically it's same as jewish homeland of Israel. Both Hindus and Jewish community is still fighting for complete control of their land from muslim millitancy.

Those high pitched inserts you used on this one are like knives in the ears. Oh my word do they hurt. Some guy who does music biographies used them too, and that was the end of my subscription for him. Who wants to listen while being stabbed in the ear with pitches that are down right painful? I hope you don't ever use them again, or put a warning at the beginning of the video so I can skip those.
