Drill a few holes in the pipes so the water fills the traps for better sinkage, also find a way to either fix the rocks to the trap or get a dive belt weight tied to the trap, that way you'll reduce the risk of crushing any caught fish with the loose rocks you use, like with the puffer fish. you should drill holes in the pvc pipes so it sinks faster

You should try putting a little sand or some small rocks inside the PVC pipes when you build them if that would work might make them sink better
