BJP Announces Candidate List For Chhattisgarh Elections| Cong Govt Says 'No Big Deal'

The BJP has released its preliminary list of 21 candidates for the Chhattisgarh Assembly Election 2023. The roster features 16 fresh faces and five former parliamentarians, as well as five women. The party is aiming for seats that were lost to Congress in the 2018 elections. Ten of the 21 seats are allocated for Scheduled Tribes, while one is designated for Scheduled Castes. Eight candidates are from other backward classes (OBC), one is from an "upper caste," and one is from a tribal community for the remaining ten general seats. While Congress says 'not a big deal'.
