the note one only works if you live alone or there will be supposedly nobody home while you’re gone.
edit: y’all stop they meant bank note as in dollar bill.
edit part 2: so I see some people don’t understand so I will just explain. If you leave a *bank* note, on the table while you’re gone, (because bank notes are obviously money, ) and it is gone when you get back, that means someone took it.
What I said in my original comment is explaining that this doesn’t work if someone else lives in your house, because they could just take it.

Never sleep with windows open.... Time for a story: it was a rainy summer night. Because it was very hot inside, I decided to sleep with my windows open. When I woke up, i went to a window and looked outside. I saw a cat in the middle of the road. I thought it was sleeping but it was kinda odd for it to be in the middle of the road. It had the same colors as my cats so I called for my kitty. It didn't came to me so I went outside to check the "sleeping cat". As you might've guessed... the cat in the middle of the road was actually mine. Sadly it was dead. R.I.P. Motoraş😭😭

I always used to do the note thing and one day I came back from picking my sibling up from the bus stop it was gone… I looked around and my cat had it in his mouth 😅

Another tip: if you feel like somebody is in your house for a longer time, put small hairs and strings into the door when closing them. If they are away the next time you are at the door, somebody is there and has opened it
