The Bells of Notre Dame - Piano Tribute

On April 15th 2019, the Notre Dame cathedral—one of the most recognisable and important cathedrals in the world—caught on fire, destroying most of the roofing and much of the historic interior. This devestating blaze took with it much of the centuries of history and beautiful French Gothic architecture. This piano arrangement is a tribute at this hard time.

This honestly one of the saddest things to happen to France. Such beauty, stood for 800 years but destroyed in a matter of 12 hours. Love the piece. Vive la France et la Notre Dame.

I was so sad when I heard the fire started. I watched the entire thing unfold all afternoon and evening. I had done a project on it last year in high school and really wanted to visit it in person. All hope isn't lost though. I read that a few years ago a guy took lazer measurements of the entire cathedral. And those measurements can be used to rebuild it. I do hope they add something to leave a modern mark on the building when it's rebuilt, since each remodel and restoration of it left their own marks on the building, which is what made it so cool. I think continuing that tradition would be cool, but ultimately the rebuild should be left up to what the French want.

Thank you very much for this song. For us (french people) Notre Dame is more than a cathedral it's a symbol of Paris the cathedral is 856 years old and it's like the Eiffel tower so this Tribute is a balm to the heart "Merci beaucoup" (thank you very much)

Seriously, rewatching the movie after Notre Dame was burning made me hurt inside. I always wanted to visit it since I was a kid, perhaps I'll be able to see it someday once they rebuild it, but it won't be the same. Sanctuary.

although the Notre Dame was started in the 1100s, the spire that burned down was made in the 1800s and out of wood.
So, in the grand scheme of things it wasn't too bad

I have been raised by a French Catholic family and when we all found out Notre dame burned down we cried for home. My great grandmother lived on that same street as a child. She died about a year ago aged 90. My family prays for France and the Notre dame cathathedrel.

This was very well done and it made me smile. It made me upset how Notre Dame caught fire and sustained heavy damage, but part of me thinks it was for a reason. It has helped the world band together again and focus on a task together. Restoring a piece of not just France's history, but the world's.
