Bad explanation….
The real reason is legally only certain companies are allowed to make printers legally. They add small yellow dots on papers to prevent counterfeiting. The manufacturers monopolized the market so now they can have scummy practices. They also sell less ink in heh cartridges

Black ink is black ink it all looks the same on the paper. I have that Canon and I don't use there INk I made funnels out of the bottles and add ink at a fraction of the cost. If you'rre not prinitng pictures you really should just grab a laser printier toner cartridges print cheaper and prints faster.

Well if everybody just bought a new printer every time I wouldn’t have to worry about the price of bank and the company would go bankrupt.
